Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s impressive 1-1 draw away at Arsenal yesterday, and took time to praise Morgan Gibbs-White, highlighting how the youngster injected some much needed energy into his team’s performance, as quoted by the Express & Star.

The Black Country outfit have made a decent start to their 2018/19 Premier League campaign, and currently sit in 11th spot in the table, having taken 16 points from their opening 12 league outings.

Gibbs-White’s rise to prominence has been a real bonus for Wolves this season, and he surely has a wonderfully exciting future ahead of him in the game.

The Wolves midfielder was excellent against the Gunners, and nearly won the game for his side after hitting the woodwork late on.

Nuno offered high words of praise for the teenager, when speaking to reporters after yesterday’s draw with Arsenal, highlighting how much of an influence he had on the game at the Emirates, as quoted by the Express & Star:

“I was thinking, wanting and wishing. I almost prayed for it to go in. He came on and brought energy – and that’s what we expect from all the changes that we try. The three players that go in the game, they changed the dynamic of the game. We were looking for more speed because Arsenal were really high. There was space for us to explore – and we almost did it.”

Wolves now have two weeks off before they return to action against Huddersfield Town, and Gibbs-White will be hoping that he has done enough to earn his first Premier League start of the season.
