Arsenal star Oleksandr Zinchenko has raved about his Gunners teammate Eddie Nketiah on Sky Sports.

Zinchenko, who can play as a left-back or in midfield, has said that he has been surprised to see how good Arsenal striker Nketiah really is.

The Ukraine international, who moved to Arsenal from defending Premier League champions Manchester City in the summer of 2022, has said that the 23-year-old English striker is “incredible” and has “amazing potential”.

Zinchenko said about Nketiah: “Since I came here, [Nketiah] has been amazing.

“Honestly, even watching him last season, I was surprised a lot because the ability and quality he has is incredible. He has an amazing potential and future for sure.”

Time to step up

With Gabriel Jesus now injured, it is time for Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah to step up and compensate for the loss of the Brazil international.

The youngster is a good striker who is brilliant in and around the penalty box.

However, Jesus is more experienced, more mobile and is better at dribbling past opposition players.

You cannot ask Nketiah to suddenly become the next Jesus, and Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will have to play to his strengths during the time the Brazilian is on the sidelines.

However, it is clear that the 23-year-old Englishman will have to make the most of the chances he will get now and has to be more clinical.
