Speaking on his Twitch channel, Fabrice Muamba has been chatting about West Ham’s win against Chelsea at the weekend.
The Hammers were brilliant against their London rivals on Saturday, but before the game started, Moyes sprung a few shocks.
Indeed, Issa Diop made his first league appearance of the season, while Manuel Lanzini also came into the side.
Muamba was taken aback by one of the decisions Moyes made at the weekend, claiming that he was surprised to see Pablo Fornals left on the bench.
What’s been said about Fornals?
Muamba spoke about Moyes’ decision to bring Lanzini in for Fornals.
“I was surprised to see Fornals benched. I was surprised, but I think Lanzini has taken his opportunity, he has shown that he is capable of playing for West Ham, he’s capable of playing in that position,” Muamba said.

Strength in depth
Moyes has something of a selection headache with Fornals, Lanzini, Nikola Vlasic and Said Benrahma, but isn’t that a lovely dilemma to have?
For far too long, teams who have threatened to challenge the ‘traditional big six’ have fallen away due to a lack of depth, and while West Ham do have depth problems in some areas, they certainly don’t have any issues in their attacking midfield spots.
Yes, Moyes does have difficult decisions to make on a weekly basis with these players, but strength in depth is never a bad thing, especially when you’re competing in Europe.
