Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers beat the old enemy on Saturday – and Andy Gray was delighted.

Andy Gray has joked on beIN Sport that he lost his voice after ‘screaming’ during Rangers’ win over Celtic on Saturday.
Steven Gerrard’s side beat Celtic 1-0 at Ibrox in what was Rangers’ first Old Firm victory in 13 attempts.
Ryan Jack’s 31st-minute strike represented the solitary goal, but it wasn’t a fair reflection on the match.
The Gers could and certainly should have won by a far greater margin, but the three points was enough for Gray, who spent a season at Ibrox until 1989.
“Well a little bit of both. I was screaming,” he said on beIN Sports when asked if the drama had caused him go hoarse.
“And can I just say – beat them well, I might add,” he added when his co-presenter mentioned that the Blues had beaten Brendan Rodgers’s charges.
Rangers are now level on points with the top-of-the-table Bhoys, who still have a game in hand.
But it’s the first time for many-a-year that the Premiership title has been contested by more than one team, and it’s brilliant for the Scottish game.
Even Celtic fans – admittedly very few – might concede that Rangers’ improvement this season certainly adds a level of intrigue and excitement that the Hoops’ domestic season was lacking in years gone by.
