Speaking to Liverpool’s official club website, Sadio Mane has been discussing Liverpool’s new signing Ibrahima Konate.
The Frenchman joined the Reds earlier in the summer, and while we’re yet to see him in action for the Reds, it sounds as though he’s having a real impact behind the scenes.
Indeed, Mane says that Konate has settled in brilliantly, which is something that came as a bit of a surprise for the Senegalese star.
What’s been said?
Mane was speaking about Konate.
“He is a very nice lad and from the first day he was with us I was really surprised because it was like he has been here for years. With myself that was not the case because I am a bit shy, but he just came in and settled straightaway which is really important.
“You could see in pre-season that he was doing well from the start and we are really, really happy to have him. I feel that this year he will have a great season for Liverpool.”

Great to hear
Arriving in a new country at one of the biggest clubs in the world could be a very daunting prospect for a 22-year-old, but it sounds as though Konate has taken it in his stride.
That’s exactly what you want to hear about a new signing, and settling in behind the scenes will certainly help him when he eventually makes his debut on the pitch.
It looks like Konate could be a big character in the dressing room for years to come, and that’s exactly what you need to be if you’re going to be a success at Anfield.
