Mauricio Pochettino was furious after Tottenham Hotspur’s defeat at Burnley.

Mauricio Pochettino has admitted to Sky Sports that his behaviour after Tottenham Hotspur’s defeat at Burnley was ‘not normal’.
Spurs lost 2-1 at Turf Moor in controversial circumstances.
Chris Wood opened the scoring from a corner on 57 minutes, but television replays indicate that it should’ve been a goal kick for Tottenham instead.
Pochettino, whose side equalised through Harry Kane before Ashley Barnes’s winner, was furious on the touchline and later confronted referee Mike Dean in an angry manner after the final whistle.
The Argentine has now admitted that his frustration was borne out of the knowledge that defeat makes it ‘difficult’ for the Lilywhites to win the Premier League title.
He told Sky Sports: “It was a game for us, so important, I believed before the game it was going to be decisive if you’re going to fight for the Premier League at the end of the season.
“It’s not normal how I behaved, but I knew very well that if we lost it was going to be difficult to be a real contender.”
Tottenham remain five points behind co-leaders Liverpool and Manchester City, though the Reds can move eight points clear of them by beating Manchester United tomorrow.
Man City aren’t in Premier League action this week, with Pep Guardiola’s side gearing up for a League Cup final with Chelsea at Wembley tomorrow.
