Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has said that he was confident of getting his penalty past Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, as quoted on BBC Sport.
Lacazette found the back of the net in the 64th minute from the penalty spot, as Arsenal won the North London derby 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium.
It was a controversial decision, but the France international made no mistake in getting his spot kick past Lloris.
Lacazette plays with Lloris for the France national football team team and played with him at French club Lyon.
BBC Sport quotes the 29-year-old as saying: “We are lucky to get the penalty, I think. But of course I am happy. Back in the days I have taken a lot of penalties against him [Hugo Lloris] but I was confident.”

Lacazette played well for Arsenal in the North London derby, and his penalty was well taken indeed. The aforementioned comments show just how confident the Frenchman is as a footballer.
It is also interesting that the former Lyon star says that he was lucky to get the penalty. It was a very controversial decision, and Spurs fans will argue that Davinson Sanchez did nothing wrong.
The win has given hope to Arsenal that they can still challenge for the Premier League top four this season.
