Michail Antonio has admitted to Sky Sports that he was tired during West Ham United’s match against Burnley last night.

Antonio is just coming back from injury for West Ham, but he showed exactly what they have been missing through his performance yesterday evening.

The powerful forward scored twice for the Hammers, as they won 2-1 at Turf Moor.

And when Antonio was asked about his fitness after the game, he admitted he did get tired at some points.

“There were some stages there where I was blowing a bit, but you know I managed to keep going and tough it out and got 90 minutes into my legs,” he said.

West Ham will be keen to get some rest into Antonio, as they can ill afford to lose him again.

David Moyes has already admitted that West Ham need to win all four of their remaining games to stand a chance of qualifying for the Champions League, and keeping Antonio fit will surely be crucial to that.

The 31-year-old is clearly the Hammers’ best striking option, and his goal threat makes them a much more dangerous side.

West Ham are next in action when they take on Everton on Sunday.
