Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left gutted by the news that Sergio Reguilon is set to miss out against Liverpool this evening.
The London Evening Standard report that Reguilon will miss the next three weeks’ worth of action for Tottenham in what looks like a major blow for Jose Mourinho’s side.
With Ben Davies also a doubt, Spurs’s options at left-back look severely depleted for tonight’s game.
And Spurs fans are now fearing the worst, with their defence set to come up against Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.
Salah actually hasn’t been in the best of form in the Premier League of late, but he did get on the scoresheet at the weekend, when Liverpool played against Manchester United in the FA Cup.
Some Spurs fans suggested that Gareth Bale could be an option to start at left wing back if Mourinho deploys a five man defence, but it looks far more likely that Japhet Tanganga will start, if Davies is deemed unfit.
Tottenham can leapfrog Liverpool and move into the top four if they can win this evening, but their task of doing so has definitely been made harder by the latest injury news.
