Some Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Kai Havertz for Bayer Leverkusen on Monday evening.
Havertz, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, was in action for Bayer in their Bundesliga game against Werder Bremen away from home.
The Germany international scored twice for his side to help them to a 4-1 win.
According to WhoScored, the 20-year-old took five shots of which two were on target and ended in goal, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 79.6%, won one header, and took 59 touches.
So far this season, Havertz has scored eight goals and provided five assists in 23 Bundesliga appearances for Bayer, according to WhoScored.
Some Liverpool fans were impressed with the display produced by Havertz and have urged the club to sign him in the summer transfer window, as shown in the following posts on Twitter.
Interestingly, the Merseyside have already been linked with the Bayer youngster, with Goal.com naming Liverpool among a number of clubs who want to secure the services of the 20-year-old this summer.
