It looks like Arsenal might be about to throw the kitchen sink at bringing Alexander Isak to North London.
The Sweden hitman is heavily linked with a move to Arsenal.
And AS in Spain has reported this morning that the Emirates Stadium club will ‘do everything to get him’ if they hear that the Real Sociedad marksman is interested.
Isak, who has a release clause of £70 million [AS], has lit up Euro 2020 for his country this summer and that isn’t good for Arsenal, given that he’s dazzling on such a big stage and competition will only increase.
But here’s how some fans of the English club reacted to that report from Spain today:
Is Arsenal signing Isak?
Well, they definitely need him.
Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are both good strikers – especially the latter.
But combined, their age adds up to 62 and 32 goals between them in all competitions last season illustrate that Arsenal need fresher options up front.
Nine teams scored more Premier League goals than the Gunners – who finished eighth in the table once again – and therefore a striker of Isak’s abilities is absolutely needed.
