John McGinn has demanded an apology from his Aston Villa teammate, Jacob Ramsey, after he was nutmegged in training on Tuesday.
Aston Villa’s official Twitter account posted a clip of a Rondo session between the players.
Both McGinn and Ezri Konsa were the guys in the middle, with Ramsey then pulling off a cheeky flick that resulted in the ball going through the Scotman’s legs.
But despite clear footage of the incident, McGinn was unhappy and shared that it was ‘incomplete’.
But Tyrone Mings, who isn’t part of training yet because he is on his holidays, sided with the youngster.
Well, it seemed pretty clear that McGinn was outfoxed and outdone by the younger brains of Villa’s rising star.
Ramsey isn’t a regular in the Villa team, but he’s certainly climbing the ladder at quite a rate and he will be hoping to really blow the doors down next season.
Whilst Villa have enough creative talent in their ranks with Emiliano Buendia, Bertrand Traore, Jack Grealish and Anwar El Ghazi, to name a few.
There does seem to be a spot open for someone to take that number 10 spot and it’s all Ramsey if he continues to impress in pre-season and at the start of the campaign.
But, of course, if Villa bring in added quality, such as a certain Leon Bailey, then those forward areas will only become more difficult to seal down.
