Speaking on the House of Champions Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has been discussing Arsenal’s summer transfer plans and Yunus Musah.
The American midfielder was one of the stars of the World Cup, but while he lit up the tournament in Qatar, his club are currently enduring a real struggle.
Indeed, his Valencia side sit 18th in La Liga, and it’s fair to say that relegation is a real risk for the Spanish club this season.
If Valencia do go down, you can bet your bottom dollar that Musah will be moving onto pastures new, but according to Romano, even if Valencia don’t get relegated, the player will be on the move, and Arsenal, alongside Inter and Chelsea, are amongst the teams keen to pick him up.

Arsenal want Musah
Romano shared what he knows about the American.
“I think whatever happens with Valencia I see him leaving in the summer. In the Premier League there is strong interest. During the World Cup Chelsea were following the player. Arsenal, of course, know the player very well he was there so he is a player they are monitoring. Also Inter, they are looking for that kind of player, so Musah is a player they are following
“My expectation is for him to leave and from what I understand, Chelsea, Arsenal and Inter are the most interested clubs, but it will take time.”
Potential bargain
There could be a huge bargain to be had here if Valencia do indeed end up getting relegated at the end of the season.
Valencia will have next to no bargaining power if they end up in the Segunda Division, and Musah would likely be able to leave for pittance.
As a 20-year-old with a high ceiling, Musah’s true market value is astronomical, but if Valencia go down, he could be available for a very reasonable price.
