Rangers star Antonio Colak believes fans have the right to boo after jeering the Ibrox team at home to Dundee FC on Wednesday. Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side won the game 1-0.
Steven Davis scored the only goal of the Scottish League Cup affair in just the 10th minute. But the Dee kept the Gers honest throughout as Gary Bowyer’s boys put up a resistance in Glasgow. Although their fight was not enough to deny Rangers a fifth-straight semi-final.

Progressing through to the final four once more was not enough for Rangers to keep all of their fans happy. Some let Van Bronckhorst hear their true feelings at the full-time whistle after the Gers often lacked conviction. Rarely did their early dominance look like creating.

Dundee enjoyed chances of their own, as well, and often caused issues with their crosses into the box. Zak Rudden almost beat Jon McLaughlin to the ball, too, for one of the Dee’s better openings. But the visiting side could not overturn the gap to Davis’ poacher’s finish.
The narrow scoreline particularly helped allow Dundee to keep Rangers honest and the tie alive. Bowyer’s Championship squad playing very organised also helped. But anything but a Gers win would have spelt a disaster for Van Bronckhorst at home to the second-tier team.

Colak believes ‘fans have the right’ to boo after jeering Rangers vs Dundee FC
Colak has no issue with Rangers fans booing the performance of their side against Dundee in midweek. But the £2m plus add-ons signing from PAOK in July relishes playing with fans on the team’s side. He acknowledges just how helpful the Ibrox crowd can be for the Gers.
“The fans have the right to give their opinions,” he said, via quotes by The Glasgow Times. “I understand that. But I’m a really positive guy and I always want positive vibes and energy. I know what our fans can give us with their power and their energy.

“We are playing at one of the biggest clubs in the world so this is a part of it. That’s why we only have players who can stand this pressure. I like to play under pressure as I want to win every game and to score.”
Colak has now featured 18 times for Rangers since Van Bronckhorst signed the 29-year-old this summer. The three-cap Croatia international has hit 13 goals and laid on two assists in all competitions, as well. Of his goals, 10 have come over nine appearances at Ibrox so far.
