Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins has revealed to the club’s official website that he has been doing extra finishing work after training.
Watkins has enjoyed an excellent first season at Villa, and already has doubled figures for goals.
But Watkins has suggested that he now wants to push on and become a 20-goal a season striker.
And he is putting in the work to make improvements on the training ground.
“I try and do a lot of finishing practice after training,” Watkins said.
“Work on my ball striking, finishes from crosses and headers, all different types of scenarios. I’m just trying to improve every day and be the best I can be.”
Watkins is more than just a finisher, as his link play has also impressed this term.

But if he can become more deadly in the box then he may rank as one of the very best strikers in the Premier League.
Watkins has had a couple of barren spells, which he will need to cut out of his game if he is to reach the 20-goal a season mark.
Villa are next in action against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, when Watkins will surely start.
