Mateusz Klich has gushed over Kevin de Bruyne by labelling him as a ‘top-class’ player ahead of Leeds United’s clash against Manchester City on Saturday, as posted by Football Daily.

Pep Guardiola will lock horns against his mentor and the uniquely eagle-eyed Marcelo Bielsa, whose coaching methods have filtered down to coaches such as the Man City boss right now.

One player who Bielsa would have done pages and pages of analysis on is a certain de Bruyne, who is perhaps the best midfield player in Europe.

Well, Klich, who trained with the box-to-box Belgian during his days at Wolfsburg, shared that he is a big admirer of the playmaker.

“He’s one of the best midfielders in the world right now,” said Klich.“He can score goals. He works hard. He runs a lot. He assists a lot.

“I really like him as a player because I already know him for long now because I trained with him at Wolfsburg and I could see he was going to be a really top-class player.

“The thing I like about his game is that he uses his brain even more than his legs because he sees everything. He can pick a pass and he can shoot. I just really like him as a player and rate him as a player.”

Whilst City shipped five goals against Leicester City, Bielsa and Co. will be well aware that a wounded animal will turn up on their doorstep at the weekend.

And it’s not going to be a pretty sight having an angry De Bruyne-led City trying to shut their critics wrong after yet another defensive disaster class.

Klich has been one of the form players for Leeds, but he will be up against it when De Bruyne is trying to weave his magic on the Elland Road turf.
