Jermaine Beckford raved about Leeds United winger Raphinha on talkSPORT (7:28pm, November 28, 2020) following the match against Everton.

The former Leeds striker was impressed by the display produced by the 23-year-old winger during the Whites’ 1-0 win against Everton away from home at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Raphinha, who joined Marcelo Bielsa’s side from Rennes in the summer of 2020, scored the only goal of the match in the 79th minute with a wonderful strike.

While analysing the 23-year-old’s performance against Everton, Beckford said that he was surprised by how quick the winger is.

Beckford said about Raphinha on talkSPORT (7:28pm, November 28, 2020): “Every time he got on the ball today, he looked a threat. Every time the ball was coming up towards him, he was making great moves, great runs, showing great sharpness, great energy as well, and he is very quick. He is much quicker than I thought he was. Everything that went through him was positive. For me, he was the shining light in this game today.”

Encouraging performance

Raphinha was very good for Leeds during his time on the pitch and showed what he is capable of.

The winger was quick, had lots of energy, was a problem for the Everton defence, and had one of his best games for Leeds.

According to WhoScored, Raphinha took four shots, played two key passes, had a pass accuracy of 73.3%, won one header, took 51 touches, made three tackles, and put in three crosses.

So far this season, the Brazilian has made two starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Leeds, according to WhoScored.
