The Tottenham Hotspur hitman had a great chance to win the game last night.
Keylor Navas saves from Harry Kane
The 24-year-old has been in red-hot form this season, scoring 11 goals in 11 outings in all competitions for Tottenham, but he failed to get the better of the Costa Rican last night in Madrid.

And the England international spoke to reporters after the game, explaining how he thought he had done everything right, when presented with a one-on-one chance against the European champions last night, as quoted by ViaSport Fotball’s official Twitter account:
“I timed my run to perfection, I thought I had done everything right you know, I touched it out of my body, opened it up, and sometimes the keeper makes a great save and that’s what he’s done, he’s got his fingertips on it and pushed it around the post.”
.@HKane: Sometimes the keeper just makes a great save.

Kane and co will welcome the La Liga champions to Wembley for the corresponding fixture on November 1st, and the striker will be desperate to get the better of Navas second time around.
Whichever team emerges victorious form that game will stand a fantastic chance of topping the group come December, and in turn, stand more of a chance of avoiding the big-guns in the knockout draw.
