Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has said to the ITV Football Show that Dele Alli being dropped from the England team just shows the depth of quality that the country has.
Alli has fallen out of favour at Tottenham and with England, despite previously being a key player for club and country.
Alli now seems a long way from making it back into the Three Lions’ squad.
And when asked about Alli being dropped, Kane said: “I think it just shows the strength in the youth players.
“Maybe younger players are starting to get their chance a bet earlier now.
“That’s the thing with England, there’s always another great player in your position so you always have to make sure you’re working hard and make sure you’re improving, no matter how many goals or caps you have.”
Alli, who has made 37 caps for England, now seems to be well down the pecking order with the Three Lions.

Even 17-year-old Jude Bellingham has been called up ahead of him to the current squad, after his excellent form with Borussia Dortmund.
Alli can have few complaints with his omission either, as his exile at Tottenham continues.
Alli is finding it hugely difficult to get any game time with Spurs at the moment, and he now faces a massive fight to win his place back with both club and country.
