Jack Wilshere has been speaking to Sky Sports after Mikel Arteta invited him back to Arsenal, where he is currently doing his coaching badges.
What’s the story?
Well, the 29-year-old has been without a club ever since leaving Bournemouth at the end of last season.
In order to help him maintain fitness while he searches for a new opportunity, the Gunners have let their Hale End graduate train at London Colney.
When speaking to Sky Sports about that, Wilshere also made a claim about Granit Xhaka, who is currently out injured.
Wilshere said: “They’ll miss Xhaka. I think they miss him and the quality he brings on the ball.”
Xhaka is suffering with a knee injury which he sustained in the 3-1 win over Tottenham in September.
According to Sky Sports, the man signed by Arsene Wenger in 2016 will miss three months of action as a result.
Quite the turnaround for Granit Xhaka at Arsenal

Over the summer, it seemed very likely that Xhaka would be leaving the Emirates Stadium.
At one point, Calciomercato claimed that Arsenal were on the verge of selling their No.34 to José Mourinho’s Roma.
Calciomercato also wrote that Xhaka was thinking about cutting his holiday short in order to get the move finalised.

It really did seem as if the 29-year-old’s time in north London was over.
In that respect, for Wilshere to now claim that Arsenal miss him says a lot about how hard Xhaka has worked to refocus himself.
The Switzerland international can be frustrating at times, but he is a good professional who has clearly put the summer of uncertainty behind him.
