Former Ibrox striker Kris Boyd said on Sky Sports Football (2:13pm, March 21, 2021) that Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard was not brought down inside the Rangers penalty box by Borna Barisic.

Rangers have played out a 1-1 draw with Celtic away from home at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon.

In the first half of the Old Firm derby., Celtic striker Edouard went down inside the penalty box under a challenge from Rangers defender Barisic.

The striker was given a yellow card for simulation, but his teammate and Celtic captain Scott Brown said after the match it was a clear penalty, as quoted on BBC Sport.

Former Rangers striker Boyd was following the match for Sky Sports, and he believes that it was not a penalty.

Boyd said on Sky Sports Football (2:13pm, March 21, 2021): “I think he goes down too easy. There was no contact. “

Fair result?

Celtic did have more shots, more corners and more possession than Rangers, according to BBC Sport, and they will feel that they deserved all three points from the encounter.

It was not the greatest of games, but in the end, the Hoops did not lose and Rangers maintained their unbeaten record in the Scottish Premiership.
