Micah Richards has backed Jarrod Bowen to push West Ham to UEFA Champions League qualification this season.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, the former England international believes that the 25-year-old winger has the quality to make history for West Ham as the Irons aim to finish in the top-four for the first time in the Premier League era.
The Hammers have been sensational this season, with the east London side outside-favourites to beat the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham for fourth spot in the Premier League standings.
Whilst they have played more games than their top-four rivals, the Hammers are in an outstanding position to qualify for the Champions League. And according to Richards, Bowen could be the player to get West Ham over the line in May.
The former Manchester City defender said: “I think the form of Bowen has been instrumental this season. He seems to get better and better every time you watch him. He’s getting them so many points.
Richards added: “Antonio was the player last season, Lanzini’s a great player, Cresswell has come back into the team. To get to the Champions League you have to have at least one special player and Bowen is that player.”
Bowen form can keep West Ham’s Champions League dream alive

West Ham stunned the Premier League last season by finishing in the top-six, and this campaign, the Irons can do it again by going one further and qualifying for the Champions League, and the form of Bowen could be the deciding factor.
The attacker is currently in the best goalscoring run of his Premier League career, Bowen having the second-highest goal contribution record in the division this season, and if West Ham are to qualify for the Champions League, this run has to continue for the English attacker.
