Speaking on The Overlap, Paul Scholes has been speaking about the Premier League title race this season.
This term it looks like we could have a brilliant battle for the title on our hands. Liverpool are the only unbeaten side in the league so far, Chelsea are the current European champions and Manchester City are the reigning Premier League champions.
Add into that the fact that Manchester United have just signed Cristiano Ronaldo and you have four teams who could viably compete at the top of the league this season.
However, Scholes doesn’t see it that way, he believes that this is a two-horse race between Liverpool and City this term.

Scholes gave his view on the title race.
“I think it’s between Liverpool and City, I think there are four great teams in the league, well at least three definitely great teams, United over the last few weeks have fell away a bit, well not fell away, it’s very early, I just think City and Liverpool, that game two weeks ago, the quality was so high, I just can’t see any team getting close to them,” Scholes said.
Could be right
Scholes could be right with this summary.
Think about it, City and Liverpool have been the two best teams in the country for some time, and while Chelsea are looking solid, the Blues are always capable of capitulating at any moment.
When City and Liverpool are at their best, there isn’t a team in Europe that can compete with them and that’s what we’ve seen so far this season.
