Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool couldn’t hang on to a lead again as they drew 1-1 at home with Chelsea on Saturday evening.
The Reds suffered disappointment in midweek as they threw away a 3-0 lead at Sevilla in the Champions League, drawing 3-3 in Spain to dent their hopes of qualification to the knockout stages.
It was back to Premier League action on Saturday night though, as the Reds hosted Chelsea at Anfield, though Klopp took the surprise decision to bench both Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

However, Klopp did start with ex-Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah, and unsurprisingly, the prolific Egyptian pounced to snatch the opener against his former club, converting Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s pass.
Liverpool pushed for a second were pegged back in fortuitous fashion from a Chelsea perspective, as Willian’s cross looped up and over goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, nestling into the corner of the net.
The Reds were made to settle for a point in a 1-1 draw, and whilst some fans were fuming with the displays of James Milner and Jordan Henderson, others slammed superstar playmaker Philippe Coutinho for his performance.
Some believe that Coutinho is trying to play himself out of the club and into the hands of Barcelona, with some fans suggesting that they would happily sell the Brazilian for around £100million if Barca still want him.
Others slammed him for going missing in another big game, suggesting that he is ‘predictable’ and deserves as much criticism as Henderson and Milner do.
