Speaking on the LUFC FanZone Podcast, Mateusz Bogusz has shared what he expects from next season at Leeds United, claiming that he thinks he’ll go out on loan again.
The Polish midfielder has been touted as a top talent coming out of Leeds’ youth ranks, but due to the plethora of talent the Whites have at their disposal, he’s not gotten much of a chance in Marcelo Bielsa’s squad.
The teenager has spent this season out on loan in Spain, and he thinks that he’ll be on the move again this summer.
“I think it’s not my decision, I think I will still go on loan next season, because the team plays very well they play in the Premier League and I think I’m not ready to play in the Premier league or to just be a sub,” Bogusz said.
“I think I will go on loan. Because the U23s I don’t want to go back, because when you’ve been in the first-team you don’t want to step back, because it is a step back to go to the U23s now.
“So I think I will still go on a loan, but it is not my decision, maybe I come back for pre-season and the coach or the manager says I’m ready, but we will see.”

Another loan move for Bogusz would seemingly make a lot of sense.
As the midfielder says, he’s not ready to play Premier League football regularly, and with there being a lot of competition in the Whites’ first-team, it’s hard to envision him getting a chance next season.
He’s only 19, so there’s plenty of time for him to develop, and perhaps a loan at a higher level would be a good move for him at this moment in time.
