Jamie Carragher has claimed that Arsenal fans are protesting so strongly against their owners as they wanted the Kroenkes to sell up even before the Super League drama, as per his comments on Sky Sports.
Arsenal supporters matched en masse outside the Emirates Stadium last week in an attempt to force Kroenke to sell.
The Gunners chief, instead, sent his son, Josh, to answer supporters’ question in an attempt to calm the ill-feeling.
However, Arsenal supporters continue to demand the Kroenkes to leave.
And Carragher feels that the Gunners’ fans’ frustration has been building for years now.
“The biggest demonstrations we’ve seen so far are here at Old Trafford and at Arsenal,” he said.

“We keep talking about the Super League but the feeling of Manchester United and Arsenal fans towards their owners is a lot bigger than the Super League. I think that’s why they’ve protested so much. This is not just about the Super League.
“I totally get the frustration of Manchester United fans and Arsenal fans. I think every football fans in some way should stand with them. We don’t want to see games called off, nobody wants to see that, but supporters are frustrated with the ownership of their own clubs.”
Arsenal fans may have a chance of getting their wish of new owners, as it appears that a buyer has emerged in the form of Daniel Ek.
However, the Kroenkes have already released a statement suggesting that they have no intention to sell the Gunners.
Whether the weight of fans’ protests will have changed the American businessman’s mind remains to be seen.
But, as it stands, it seems Arsenal may well have Kroenke in charge for some time yet – despite the growing feelings of anger towards his ownership.
