Mark Lawrenson told Football Focus on BBC One that David Moyes told him that all the West Ham players have bought into his hard-working ways.
The former Liverpool defender joked that Moyes was having a ‘nose bleed’ when he text him recently because they were ‘that high’ after moving into the Champions League places.
West Ham can return to the top-four this afternoon but they have to overcome a re-energised Liverpool team scoring goals once again.
Nonetheless, Lawrenson shared what Moyes told him when he text the Scotsman this week about West Ham.
“I think he has built from the back,” said Lawrenson. “I text him the other day, I think he is having a nose bleed they were that high.
“He just said that they have been fabulous. He said they work hard. Moyes’ way is you work hard but he said they have all bought into it.
“And they hardly concede any goals.”

When West Ham were beaten on the opening day of the Premier League campaign against Newcastle, not many supporters would have imagined them to be in this situation.
From off-field troubles with the West Ham board to surviving relegation during the last few weeks of the previous season, Europe wasn’t exactly on the cards for those in East London.
But that has changed under Moyes and the West Ham supporters can start dreaming about a top-seven finish if they can continue in their forward-thinking and robust ways.
