Speaking on the Seaman Says Podcast, Emile Heskey has backed Liverpool to win the Premier League if they are able to keep their starting 11 fit this entire season.
Liverpool are the only unbeaten side in the Premier League heading into the second international break, and while they may have been slightly written off at the start of the season, people are now waking up to the fact that they could be potential champions.
Heskey believes that Liverpool will win the title if they manage to navigate the season without picking up any serious injuries.
What’s been said?
Heskey spoke about the title race.
“Before I let you go, who is going to be the win the Premier League?” Seaman asked.
“I always say, I tell you what, If Liverpool can keep their starting 11 fit, I’m going to say Liverpool,” Heskey said.
“That’s the good things, years ago it was between you and Man Utd, but now you have two, three or four involved. Chelsea are in there and it makes it a lot better.”

Easier said than done
Heskey says that Liverpool will win the league if they manage to keep their best players fit, but that’s easier said than done.
Sadly, injuries are already plaguing their squad. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Thiago both missed the game against Manchester City this weekend, while Harvey Elliott is out for the foreseeable future.
If these issues persist throughout the season, Liverpool will undoubtedly struggle to sustain a title challenge, but thus far they’ve managed to come through unscathed.
Fingers crossed the medical team at Anfield aren’t too busy this season.
