Last night, Everton ended their run of eight games without a win thanks to Demarai Gray, who scored a 91st minute winner to down Arsenal.

Speaking to Sky Sports after full-time, Seamus Coleman shared what he shouted at the match-winner before that dramatic moment.

What’s the story?

Well, Coleman gave a proper captain’s interview after full-time, as he told Sky Sports all about how hard Gray has been working.

The £1.7m man now has five goals and two assists in 15 Premier League appearances this season, and has become vital to the Toffees.

Coleman is all too aware of Gray’s importance, as he confirmed to Sky Sports that he shouted “get up, get up, we need you, you’re massive for us” before the 91st minute winner.

When asked about that comment, Coleman said: “I tell him that everyday. I’m on him every day in the best way possible, some players don’t realise how good they can be, he’s got bundles of ability, he just needs to work hard every day.”

Clearly, the Irishman is a fantastic motivator and teammate.

Even during the interview, you could see Gray smiling as Coleman showered him in praise – what a fantastic captain he is.

Win over Arsenal must be a turning point for Everton

Last night’s win has to be a turning point for Everton.

There has been plenty of talk about Benitez’s future following the 4-1 defeat to Liverpool, but the Toffees showed that they are playing for the Spaniard last night.

It was an inspired display, as Everton battled from behind to claim all three points – it could’ve been even better had Richarlison not seen two goals disallowed.

Now, with Crystal Palace next up – who have lost three games in a row – Everton have a great chance to kick on.

If momentum cannot be built from this point on, it would be a serious concern for Benitez, to say the least.
