Gary Neville has intimated that Tottenham Hotspur and England hitman Harry Kane is still carrying an ankle injury.
Somewhat surprisingly, the Spurs striker is yet to score any of the Three Lions’ nine goals in the World Cup thus far.
He is one of the world’s most lethal goalscorers but he hasn’t scored against Iran, USA or Wales as of yet.
The 29-year-old suffered a foot problem in the final quarter of that 6-2 victory against Iran, coming off with 15 minutes remaining.
And although he has started both of England’s subsequent games, Neville feels that the Tottenham attacker still isn’t 100 percent at all.

He told The Gary Neville podcast: “He’s carrying something. Yeah he is. We know that don’t we. He’s a solider in that sense. He’ll carry on. But I suspect he’s got something there that’s niggling him and bugging him.”
It’s testament to how insanely good Kane is as a footballer, if he still isn’t 100 percent and playing like this.
On Tuesday, the Lilywhites forward set up all three of England’s goals.
Even when he isn’t putting the finishing touches on attacking moves himself, he’s orchestrating them and that only serves to underline what a massive talent he really is.
Gareth Southgate’s side are gearing up for a round-of-16 encounter against Senegal on Sunday and although it isn’t certain Kane will score, it is probable that he’ll be just as involved as ever.
