Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he was taken back by the class of Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane at times last night.
The Reds moved back level on points with Spurs at the Premier League summit by thrashing Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-0 at Anfield.
At a couple points during the game, Mane effortlessly plucked the ball out of the sky with the most delicate of first touches – and the Liverpool boss has admitted that he still doesn’t quite know how the Senegal international does it.
He told the club’s official website: “Sadio had a few moments where he controlled which I still don’t understand how he can do that, these kind of things.”
The moment on 47 minutes was quite memorable, when Mane expertly controlled a diagonal pass from Jordan Henderson, before quickly unleashing a shot at goal with his second touch, though Rui Patricio parried it away.
The former Southampton man then tried to claim the fourth goal on 78 minutes, but it was officially ruled a Nelson Semedo own goal.
Still, the three points is all that Mane will care about at the end of the day and as a bonus, he got to impress the Liverpool manager from up close.
