Pep Guardiola gave special praise to Tottenham goalkeeper, Joe Hart, for playing his part in Manchester City reaching the Champions League final, as he told his post-match press conference.
The Manchester City boss stated that without individuals like Hart, Vincent Kompany and past legends such as Mike Summerbee then reaching Europe’s biggest stage is ‘not possible’.
Whilst Hart now spends a lot of his time warming Tottenham’s bench or BT Sports studio, he was part of the early success at the Etihad before Guardiola parted ways with the Englishman as soon as he stepped foot in the door.
And despite Guardiola making that bold call, he was sure to namecheck the Spurs man after Man City beat PSG last night.
“Especially, I would like to say to all the players that worked before us,” said Guardiola. “Colin Bell and Mike Summerbee.
“But, especially, especially, when I took over from the guys from Abu Dhabi that helped to make this club in another level.
“I remember Joe Hart, especially. Pablo Zabaleta, Vincent Kompany, of course, Sergio is here and David Silva.
“Many, many players that helped us to be at the stage we are here and I want to share it with all of them because without them it’s not possible that we are here.”

The last time two English sides reached a Champions League final, Spurs had a night to forget as Liverpool recorded their sixth European triumph in Madrid.
Well, it might just be an all-English final once more, with Chelsea holding a slight advantage over Real Madrid, with the duo set to lock horns tonight.
Regardless of who goes through, those in blue will be favourites because they have been utterly dominant, both in the Premier League and in Europe this season.
