Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to Tottenham appointing Nuno Espirito Santo as their new coach, as confirmed by the club on Wednesday.
It’s going to be Mikel Arteta vs Nuno next season in the North London derby as Arsenal and Spurs look to get back into the Champions League.
That’s going to be the aim for both teams, as Arsenal fans pointed towards the good record Nuno had during his time at Wolves.
From years gone by, it’s perhaps not the biggest or most popular of names in the dugout of Arsenal or Spurs, but it certainly makes things interesting for the new Premier League season.
For Wolves, Nuno finished in Europe on back-to-back occasions, whilst Arteta missed out on a top-seven finish last term.
That has been highlighted from some Arsenal fans.
That Wolves side was popular across the Premier League, but those Arsenal fans who once perhaps had a soft spot for Nuno will be thinking a lot differently now.
Given where both Arsenal and Spurs have been in recent seasons, the start both managers make is going to be crucial because if they don’t get that engine going then there will be serious heat coming their way.
