Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Nelson Semedo has joined a growing list of admirers of Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, as per his comments in the Telegraph.

Semedo was speaking about the strength in depth in the Premier League, and suggested that the quality is not all kept at the very top end of the table.

And Grealish, who has been so inspirational for Villa this season, as well as Harvey Barnes and Nathan Redmond were named as some of the toughest opponents the right-back has come up against this term.

“What makes the Premier League so special is that any team who is in the last position can beat first place,” the £37 million defender (BBC Sport) said.

“You have players who don’t play for bigger teams at the ‘Big Six’ who stand out. [Harvey] Barnes at Leicester is a very good player. I really like Jack Grealish. I also really like [Nathan] Redmond at Southampton.

“This is why in every game you have to play until the last minute or you get a surprise.”

Grealish is actually out injured for Villa currently, which has been a blow to Dean Smith’s side.

However, the claret and blues were still able to pick up a victory against Leeds United at the weekend in their last outing.

Villa went to Elland Road and won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Anwar El Ghazi.

Grealish’s problem is not thought to be a serious one, and his return will be a major relief to everyone at Villa, given his importance to their team.

Smith’s side are next in action against bottom of the table Sheffield United on Wednesday, before they take on Semedo’s Wolves side at the weekend.
