Jose Enrique has claimed that Manchester United’s Dean Henderson would be a ‘great signing’ for Newcastle United, as he posted on his Instagram story.

Given the heavy pockets Newcastle now have, there will be a lot of eyes on the club during the summer transfer window.

In January, near-on every name under the sun was touted to make a transfer to St James’ Park, so expect it to be even more hectic in the summer.

One of the names being thrown about currently is that of Man United’s back-up stopper, Henderson, with transfer expert, Fabrizo Romano, claiming that Newcastle are ‘interested’ in the England international.

Enrique reacted to that tweet from Romano on his IG story yesterday and this is what he had to say.

“I really believe it will be a great signing for Newcastle,” said Enrique. “What do you think?”

Henderson’s lack of game time at Man United has hurt him badly and has resulted in the player dropping down the pecking order for England.

The 25-year-old proved during his loan spells at Sheffield United that, when he is at the top of his game, he can be one of the best keepers in the Premier League, as well as challenge for England spots.

Not only that, he is at a great age, so the best is yet to come of the Old Trafford academy product.

Either way, with the Magpies having all the money in the world to spend, Henderson probably won’t be the only keeper touted to make a move to the club.
