West Ham United’s Michail Antonio has taken a dig at Tottenham Hotspur’s tactics on Sky Sports, suggesting that they are not a ‘free flowing’ team any more.

Spurs picked up a 1-1 draw against Manchester United on Friday night, and Jose Mourinho’s side did look to soak up pressure by being disciplined defensively at times.

West Ham’s Antonio was an interested spectator, and he feels that the Hammers have nothing to fear going into tonight’s game now.

“One thing I noticed [from their draw against United] is that they are not that free-flowing, attacking team they used to be,” the £7 million man (Daily Mail) said.

“They sat back quite a bit and played more on the counter.

“And the next thing is that as much as Harry Kane and Son are quality players – I feel like every team has got those quality players.”

Antonio looks likely to start up-front for West Ham this evening, and it will be interesting to see how Tottenham’s players react to his comments.

Spurs are likely to show more attacking intent against West Ham then they did against United, as they will be expected to take the game to David Moyes’s side.

Tottenham have a fully fit squad and Mourinho suddenly has a wealth of attacking options to pick from.

Spurs have already proved their attacking quality against West Ham, as they scored three goals against them in victory at the London Stadium earlier this season, in what was Mourinho’s first game in charge.

And they may have added incentive to show that they can still play stylishly after Antonio’s comments.
