Gary Neville thinks Leeds United are in ‘big trouble’ and will be relegated instead of Everton or Burnley, as he posted on Instagram.
As things stand, it’s Burnley who are in the drop zone, but Neville thinks ‘Leeds are going down’.
Everton had the chance to secure their Premier League safety on a dramatic Sunday of Premier League football, but instead, Frank Lampard’s nine-men were beaten 3-2 by Brentford.
The Toffees still have a chance at home to Crystal Palace next Thursday to survive before the final day.
However, both Leeds and Burnley are set for a nerve-racking finish and Neville ‘never thought this could happen’, but he thinks Leeds are gone.
“I think Leeds are going to go down, by the way,” said Neville. “I think they are going to get caught.
“I might be wrong. But I think they are going to be in big trouble. They are in big trouble, Leeds.
“Financially, they will be under huge stress if they go down. Most teams are when they go down from the Premier League. That’s the huge gap that exists between the money in the Premier League and in the Championship.
“But I think Leeds, I never thought this could happen to them, they have got a massive week, as have Burnley and Everton as well. I think them two will get out of it.”

If Everton beat Palace next Thursday, then they are safe, anything less, then things could become very interesting.
As for Leeds, they are now relying on others after a dramatic late goal at home to Brighton on Sunday pushed them ahead of Burnley.
The Clarets have a game in hand against Aston Villa, so those in Yorkshire will be hoping for a favour from the Midlands outfit.
Either way, this has been a turbulent season for Leeds, Burnley and Everton – and whoever goes down, they can’t argue against that.
