Joe Hart has told Heung-Min Son on his Instagram story that he ‘never doubted’ him after Tottenham’s 2-1 win against Southampton.

It was a game of mixed emotions for Son because, in the second half, he thought he had put Tottenham ahead, only for the world’s most popular technology, VAR, to rule that Lucas Moura was offside.

But Son, nor the Tottenham players didn’t allow that to affect them as they continued to push for that winner after falling behind to a Danny Ings goal.

And with Harry Kane absent, Spurs were awarded a penalty with Son stepping up and delivering the goods for the Premier League’s youngest ever manager, Ryan Mason.

Nonetheless, this is what Hart put on his Instagram story to Son: ‘Big moment… I never doubted you @Hm_Son7.”

Now Son will want his partner in crime, Harry Kane, back on the field for Sunday’s showdown against Manchester City at Wembley.

With Mason providing Spurs with a much-needed lift, the players responding and Kane back on the field, it might just result in an upset occurring.

It’s quite the moment for Mason because at such a young age, 29, he is set to pit his wits against one of the world’s best in Pep Guardiola.
