Speaking on The Beautiful Game Podcast, Arsenal youngster Kido Taylor-Hart has been discussing some of the players in world football he looks up to.

As a 19-year-old, the teenager still has so much to learn within the game, and one of the best ways to learn is by watching the best players in the world and picking up some tricks from how they play.

Taylor-Hart is very much a student of the game, and he says that one player he’d like to be more like is Raheem Sterling, praising the Chelsea man’s ability to make runs to the back post and find himself in goalscoring positions.

A fan of Sterling

Taylor-Hart says he’s a big fan of Sterling’s positioning, stating that it’s something he himself would like to work on.

“There’s loads of them. I’m a big Sterling fan I like how he plays the game and he makes the back post, that’s one thing I need to work on, getting to the back post, because sometimes they’re switched off. Leroy Sane, Sterling, Phil Foden, Mane. The quality is just there,” Taylor-Hart said.

Not a bad role model

There are certainly worse players for Taylor-Hart to model his game on, that’s for sure.

As the young winger says, Sterling’s game is all about intelligent running and movement, and luckily, that’s something that can be taught and studied.

If Taylor-Hart manages to master the knack of being in the right place at the right time, he’ll be a Premier League player in no time, and while we don’t want to overhype a young footballer in this way, if he’s modelling his game on players like Sterling, Sane and Foden, he’ll be perfect for Mikel Arteta. After all, the Spaniard did work with those three to great success at Manchester City.

Taylor-Hart is certainly a young player to keep an eye on.
