Tottenham Hotspur boss Nuno Espirito Santo has won El Sackico – or lost, depending how you look at it.

With Nuno and Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer both being fiercely under pressure before tonight’s clash in North London, the contest was given a humourous nickname by rival fans.

No matter what happened, one coach was always going to be under far more pressure at full time than the other.

And it’s the Tottenham man.

Spurs lost 3-0 at home to the Red Devils and Nuno was subjected to cries of ‘you don’t know what you’re doing!’ by the home support.

The Portuguese coach took off the lively Lucas Moura on 54 minutes for Steven Bergwijn as boos rang out around the Lilywhites’ £1 billion stadium.

And speaking on Sky Sports, Gary Neville has admitted that he could see the negative reaction before it happened after noticing it wasn’t Giovani Lo Celso being axed.

He said: “I must admit, when l saw it wasn’t Lo Celso going off, l wondered what the reaction would be.”

Sub

The former Wolves boss hasn’t been making a lot of subs lately – ridiculously so, in fact.

So when you do make one, there’s extra pressure to get it right and as Neville said, Nuno, whose side failed to fashion a single shot on target, did make a hash out of that one.

Lucas was comfortably Spurs’ best player on the night and removing him killed any chance that the hosts had of a comeback.

He now looks much closer to the sack than Solskjaer – whose side lost 5-0 to Liverpool last week – and you can’t blame the fans for being outraged, really.
