Eddie Gray has been speaking to the Daily Mail about a number of topics at Leeds, including Jesse Marsch, Marcelo Bielsa and Elland Road.
Interestingly, the 74-year-old shared his thoughts on the American, having met him at a fundraising event at Elland Road recently.
What’s the story?
Well, Gray is a big fan of Marsch, and actually believes Andrea Radrizzani made the right decision to sack Marcelo Bielsa.
The Leeds icon said: “The club did the right thing. So far Jesse has done very well. If you come in and communicate with the players, you get their respect and everything runs smoothly. Don (Revie) was like that.
“He’s bought into the club. I met him at a fundraiser at Elland Road and he really appreciates the opportunity and realises what it means to the people of Leeds for the club to be in the Premier League.”
In our view, Gray is right.
At the time, we felt it was the wrong decision to sack Bielsa, although it is now abundantly clear that the Argentine’s tactical stubbornness was going to take Leeds down.

Under Marsch, there remains a softness at the back, although chance creation is a regular occurrence, and the goals are already flowing.
As you can see, Leeds have already caused opponents plenty of problems under the former RB Leipzig boss – aside from the nightmarish display against Aston Villa, of course.
Eddie Gray wants Leeds change under Jesse Marsch
Praising Marsch wasn’t all Gray did when speaking to the Daily Mail.
The former Leeds player – and manager – called on Radrizzani to increase the size of Elland Road, claiming that 38,000 seats are not enough.
Gray even exclaimed that Leeds could get enough supporters in on a regular basis to fill double that figure.

He said: “In recent times, the atmosphere at Elland Road is the best it’s ever been. They need to make the stadium bigger as 38,000 is not enough. They could fill double that.”
Whether Leeds bow down to his request and construct a new 80,000-seater stadium remains to be seen, but Gray makes a good point nonetheless.
Hopefully, Gray is right about Marsch, and his approach will take Leeds back to the glory days.
