Under Thomas Tuchel, Christian Pulisic failed to receive much playing time at Chelsea, which led to interest from Leeds and Newcastle.
The United States international has only made one start in the Premier League this season, having only made 13 Premier League starts last term.
It was ESPN who claimed that Newcastle want the Chelsea No.10 – elsewhere, Dean Jones revealed that Leeds are keen on his services.
According to Calciomercato, the Blues are willing to sell Pulisic for £32m despite spending £58m on his signature, but fresh comments from Graham Potter suggest the forward is no longer up for sale at Stamford Bridge.
Leeds & Newcastle could miss out on Christian Pulisic
Speaking before the clash with Crystal Palace, the 47-year-old said: “He has been really positive. He’s a smart guy. My conversation with him has been good, positive. I’m not going to judge anybody on what’s happened in the past. I make my own mind up. Football hopefully decides.”
By the sounds of it, Pulisic will get a fresh start at Chelsea under Potter, which could complicate Leeds and Newcastle’s hopes of offering him an escape route.
The 24-year-old has struggled in west London since his big-money move from Borussia Dortmund in 2019, scoring just 25 goals in 123 appearances for the Blues.
However, under a more attack-minded manager in Potter, compared to the more defensive Tuchel, we believe Pulisic’s fortunes will turn around at Stamford Bridge.
Leeds & Newcastle must keep tabs on Christian Pulisic
In our view, if things do not improve under Potter, then Pulisic is highly likely to leave Chelsea in the summer of 2023.
The American will have just 12 months remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge in the summer, which represents Chelsea’s last chance to sell him for a decent amount of money.

Therefore, Leeds and Newcastle must continue to monitor his situation.
The Blues surely won’t want to lose their £58m signing on a free transfer in 2024, so an exit is very possible if Potter cannot help Pulisic succeed in west London.
