Todd Cantwell is reportedly a target for Aston Villa, and the Norwich City winger might have increased value by a few digits this week.
The England youth international produced one of the most stunning assists in pre-season this summer as the Norwich star’s bicycle-kick pass to Adam Idah blew up on social media.
As reported by the Sun, the Canaries value their playmaker at £40m with Villa interested in signing Cantwell should Jack Grealish leave for Manchester City this summer.
Moreover, rumours have intensified over the past few days with the Premier League champions eager to sign the Villa captain. Indeed, whilst Grealish will be an impossible player to replace, Cantwell could fit the role in the long term.
The 23-year-old winger is similar to the Villa and England star style-wise. Both are silky dribblers who are always looking to get the ball forward and to attacking teammates.
With Dean Smith already spending a club-record fee on Cantwell’s former teammate Emi Buendia, it could be a move that suits the Norwich star should Villa decide to pull the trigger if Grealish does in fact leave.

And on social media, Villa supporters were eager for the club to sign Cantwell following his stunning pre-season assists against Gillingham.
The winger was once previously chased by the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool. However, after this viral moment, there is a chance more teams could come in for the Norwich talent.
Here’s what some Villa fans had to say about Cantwell’s assists on Twitter…
