Liverpool’s Andy Robertson has said that he wants to stay at Anfield for years yet, in a question and answer session conducted to launch his own charity, AR26.

Robertson joined Liverpool from Hull City in 2017, and he has progressed massively since his move to Merseyside.

Robertson is now regarded as one of the very best left-backs in world football.

And the Scottish international says that he has completely fallen in love with Liverpool.

“It’s an incredible club to be involved in. I love every day,” he said.

“It’s such a special club to play for and I hope to be here for many years to come. But I know more performances will dictate that.

“Hopefully I can keep performing at a high standard and by here for many years to come because I love this club, and my family has fallen in love with this club.”

Robertson’s wish is likely to come true, as he appears to be in no danger of being put up for sale any time soon.

The Liverpool full-back is one of the first names on Jurgen Klopp’s teamsheet, and his role in the side has rarely been as important as it is currently.

Robertson is one of Liverpool’s only fit senior defenders, and his experience will be crucial in helping the likes of Nathaniel Phillips and Rhys Williams through games, when they are drafted in.

Robertson and his Liverpool teammates could only pick up a point at the weekend in their last outing, as they drew 1-1 with Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.
