Even if Leeds United were on a barren run, it was never going to be easy replacing Marcelo Bielsa in the Elland Road dugout.

But Jesse Marsch, after back-to-back wins, is starting to showcase why the Leeds hierarchy replaced the ‘idol’ Bielsa with the American.

Former England goalkeeper, David Seaman, is certainly a big fan of the new Leeds boss and he shared that he is loving ‘the confidence’ Marsch is portraying, as he told Sky Sports PL.

When the Whites were 2-0 down at Molineux on Friday night, ‘Leeds are falling apart again’ could be heard around the stadium – and not many could argue.

But, this all-action team, that always has its foot on the accelerator, managed to come from 2-0 down to record all three points against ten-man Wolves.

Seaman described that performance as ‘typical Leeds’ and shared how Marsch is now winning over the players.

“At half-time, I was thinking, ‘how bad are we playing?’” said Seaman. “We were all over the place.

“I was thinking ‘this could be four, five or six’. Then, in the second half, okay, the sending-off really changed the game – it was typical Leeds. But great to watch.

“He (Marsch) has been brilliant. To come in and take over an idol in Bielsa was a tough ask. I love the confidence in his body. The way that he speaks and it gets over to the lads.

“You saw it with the lads, they were high-fiving him and everything him, so they have accepted him.”

The much-loved international break has come at the wrong time for Leeds because of those back-to-back wins.

What is even crazier about those six points is that Leeds have struck the winning goal in stoppage-time.

It just goes to show the never-say-die attitude that is installed into the players, even after they have taken so many hits this term.

They have still conceded the most goals in the Premier League this season, but with seven points separating them and 18th-placed Watford, they will feel they have enough to get over the line during these final few months of the campaign.
