Jude Bellingham has admitted that he loves Steven Gerrard amid links with Liverpool, as per his comments to the Lions Den, which was broadcast on England’s official Youtube channel.
EuroSport say that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side have an eye on the Borussia Dortmund prodigy, who is regarded as one of the most exciting prospects across Europe.
Interestingly, the move to Anfield may well appeal – if his latest comments are anything to go by.
Bellingham was asked which former player’s England shirt he would like the most.
And he spoke about his admiration for Liverpool icon Gerrard in response.
“Stevie G, easily to be fair. Actually it’s not easy, him or Rooney would be close, but it’s those two by quite a way,” Bellingham said.
“I think I’d go Gerrard though because of the number eight, similar position to me, so I’d probably go with him.
“I love Stevie G to be fair.”

Following Gerrard’s lead?
If Bellingham was to sign for Liverpool any time soon, then he could actually have a chance of becoming a legend at Anfield, like Gerrard.
The 17-year-old, who is said to be valued at £100 million by Dortmund (EuroSport), still has so many years ahead of him, that he could theoretically feature for Liverpool for well over the next decade.
That is part of the reason why the links with Bellingham are so exciting for Reds supporters.
The wonderkid looks to have the world at his feet, and if Jurgen Klopp’s side were to snap him up this summer, they could build their team around him for the years ahead.
