Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club announced a long-term plan to improve Villa Park in two aspects.
Firstly, the Villans want to increase the capacity of their famous ground.
Secondly, the Board are keen to modernise the commercial facilities at Villa Park, which we’d presume means features such as refreshments, executive lounges and so on.
It’s very exciting news amid what is a fantastic time to be a fan of Aston Villa.
The club’s statement adds that preliminary designs are being formulated, and schemes are being devised to help the Board achieve their goal.
Additionally, the statement revealed more good news.
Aston Villa have confirmed that they remain debt-free despite the impacts of COVID-19, thanks to the club’s shareholder equity.
Impressively, this has been achieved without the club using the Government’s furlough scheme.
The Villans confirmed that they’ve been paying casual matchday staff, such as stewards, throughout this entire period – that is truly commendable.
It very much sounds as if Aston Villa are in great hands under Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens.
Having only earned promotion back to the Premier League in 2019, the club has made huge strides both on and off the pitch.
