Arsenal fans have urged Mikel Arteta to pick Gabriel Martinelli more often next season after his goal in Brazil training.
Arsenal published a video of Martinelli training for the Brazil under-23 squad, and scoring a belting goal.
He cut inside before unleashing a shot into the far corner of the net.
It is sight that Arsenal fans may not have seen enough of over the past campaign, and it is no fault of the player, who has been impressive when given a chance.
Arteta has generally overlooked Martinelli in favour of other options, and has often only used the youngster as a substitute.
But his goal today was a reminder of his talent, and Arsenal fans are hoping that Martinelli plays a more prominent role next season.
Time for Martinelli
It does indeed seem that the time has come for Arteta to rely on Martinelli more often.
The likes of Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka have proven what an influence young players can have when given a chance.
Martinelli looks a far better options than Willian for Arsenal right now, and it will be mystifying if Arteta opts to pick the experienced Brazilian ahead of him again next season.
In total Martinelli only made seven starts for Arsenal in the Premier League last term, and he scored on two occasions.
