Liverpool fans on Twitter have praised Manchester United midfielder, Bruno Fernandes, for being one of the first footballers to speak out against the proposed European Super League.

On Sunday, with 12 clubs agreeing on a late-night breakaway deal, many in the footballing world would have been worried about what was awaiting the beautiful game around the corner.

And with the likes of James Milner and Marcus Rashford now voicing their displeasure at what is being proposed by the money-men in suits, Fernandes wrote on his Instagram story yesterday ‘Dreams can’t be bought’.

Liverpool fans praised the Manchester United star for coming out and speaking, with Milner being even more forthright last night.

After Liverpool’s 1-1 draw at Elland Road, Milner told Sky Sports that he hopes the European Super League doesn’t happen and that he ‘doesn’t like it’.

With Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola also distancing themselves from such matters, it seems as though this European Super League is slowly falling apart.

It’s quite clear that it’s the Glazers, Roman Abramovich, FSG and Kroenke’s, to name a few, who are bringing their club, its supporters, players and those in charge, down into their money-obsessed gutter

And with more following the steps of the likes of Fernandes, Milner and Co, then it won’t be too long that a civil war is brewing from those 12 teams who have conducted such a greedy and pocket-filling deal.
