Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on social media have been reacting to what Jose Mourinho has done on Instagram after their 4-0 win over Wolfsberger.
The Portuguese gaffer put himself back in some Spurs fans’ good books after masterminding an impressive win in the Europa League.
One of the best things about Spurs’ victory was the fact that Mourinho handed out chances to youth players, with the likes of Marcel Lavernier and Dane Scarlett getting a chance to shine, but one player who remained on the bench as Dilan Markanday.
The 19-year-old was on the Spurs bench, but he didn’t manage to see any minutes on the pitch, and while that may have been disheartening for him, Mourinho has reassured him that his chance will come with a comment on Instagram.
Indeed, the manager commented on the teenager’s post after the game saying ‘your day will arrive’.
We can only imagine that this means Markanday will be getting a chance in the near future, and it’s great to see Mourinho putting a bit of faith in Tottenham’s young stars.
